Need some toilet paper?

Brenna's First Birthday Party

We had Brenna's first birthday party on May 24th, the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. It was the most beautiful day imaginable - mid-70's, not a cloud in the sky.

Jamie and I were so worried that our 62 guests would never fit in our house, and we lucked out that they could party outside, too! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Here are some pictures of the day...

How old's Brenna?!

Thank you all! We are very grateful to have you in our lives to celebrate our baby's first year with us!

Happy Birthday, Brenna!

I'll post your party pictures and the rest of the Memorial Day weekend pictures tomorrow :)

Ice cream and brownies

Because we were having a big cake at the party the next day, Brenna got to have ice cream and brownies on her birthday. Gram and Po came over for a bit after dinner to join in the festivities, but then they left to allow us to get ready for the next day (we were up to 1 a.m. cleaning!)

Brenna loved the brownies the most. I think I have a chocolate fan on my hands.

Someone was very excited for her party the next day and did not want to go to sleep!

Goodnight, one-year-old, we love you!

Winnie the Pooh joins Brenna's Birthday

After her birthday lunch at Aunt Erin's, a very special visitor made an appearance!

It was really one of the cutest, most touching things I have ever seen. Brenna squealed her little head off, and laughed hysterically as Maura entered the room in her future Halloween costume.

I should note that Maura really believed she was Winnie the Pooh. She waved to Brenna like she was a paid employee in Disney World.

Brenna was in shock after Pooh made his appearance!

Did you see that?!

But she had presents to open from Aunt Erin and Aunt Kelly!

What a day!

Brenna's Birthday Lunch

Aunt Erin, Aunt Kelly, Maura and Bobby planned a birthday lunch for Brenna on her actual first birthday, May 23, at Erin's house.

The big girl had chicken fingers and (a few) french fries. As unhealthy as it might be, it is so strange to me that she can eat that stuff now. It was the first time I ordered a meal for her with ours!

Jamie and I both toke off from work on Friday, and we all celebrated together. It was memorable, special and fun... everything a child's birthday should be.

Yum! Finally some good stuff!

One of the new tricks that Aunt Kelly taught her last week is her ability to tell you how old she is when you ask, "How old is Brenna?"

With 8 months to go until he can join in the fun, Bobby was not impressed.
